The Philmont Crews will be going to Airville, Pennsylvania for a shakedown on February 14 - February 16. We plan to leave Friday after school and will return Sunday morning. We'll be staying at a heated bunkhouse. On this outing we will be focusing on having the right gear and breaking in some of our newer gear. Please make sure to follow the specific packing list attached. We will be hiking 6-9 miles on Saturday and Sunday. We will be cooking outside, just like we will at Philmont.

For my Eagle project, we will assemble an outdoor play kitchen for the preschool at Nature Forward. We will work on two different days. The first day, we will cut and drill pilot holes in the wood. The second day, we will assemble the kitchen and paint it. Lunch will be provided both days. You can sign up for one day or both. Thank you!

After a two-year hiatus Troop 8 is heading back to West Virginia for two days of skiing/snowboarding on Friday, February 7, 2025, through Sunday, February 9, 2025. This event is open to families.
